creativity diverge converge
Within each stage there is an expanding and contracting sub-stage, known as diverging and converging, This diagram shows the earliest two of the four phases - 'On your Marks' and 'Get Set' with an example technique in each - 'Finding challenges' and 'The Tape-assumption surfacing'. The toolbar 'ADD' button lets you diverge and the 'PICK' button does the converging.

Each technique prompts you for input. This is the 'Finding Challenges' technique, which asks a series of open questions(organisational or personal) to help you identify your challenges.

When the 'PICK' button is selected, it allows the user to rank challenges, goals, assumptions, and score ideas against previous selection criteria.

Ten idea generation techniques are available in the Go! stage. They provide variety and stimulation to this process. After each technique the 'ADD' button saves everything to the local datastore. Be aware that everything is held locally in memory only. To save simply print it out.

Once ideas are collected they can be sorted using several tools and then evaluating against the ranked selection criteria previously input.
The results of evaluating ideas is calculated using the ranked selection criteria and show graphically and a complete report of the session can be printed.
