A typical coaching experience might include the following:
Start by uncovering and making explicit your driving force, the passions that are making you what you are. These can be a revelation.
Check out your challenge - play around with it, reframe it. The answers will be clues that will help you find the key to the lock that you think is in front of you. What do you really want?
Examine how you respond to your challenge at different levels. Robert Dilts, has built a simple model for thinking about personal change. The mental boxes that hinder or help you at each level need uncovering.
Expose the limiting assumptions both for self and what you believe about the world. Breaking these will expand your mental box providing more opportunity
Step into the future. Pacing yourself towards your goal will start to change you think about the challenge.
As Negative thinking is our evolutionary default mode, stay positive by watching for your persistent internal censor that likes to preserve your status quo.
